Armenia’s entry was the 16th to go on stage at theթԹ International Exhibition CentreթԹ inթԹ Kiev,թԹ Ukraine to perform her song, թ§Չ-ժFly With Meթ§Չ-Թ.
She received a high appreciation by the jury and viewers following the contest.
The first semi-final featured participants from 17 other countries, including Sweden, Australia, Albania, Belgium, Montenegro, Finland, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Moldova, Iceland, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Slevenia and Malta.
The second semi-finals is due on Wednesday evening.
The final round will take place on Saturday, May 13.
Ukraine won the right to host the Eurovision 2017 after its participant, Jamala, won the contest in Stockholm, Sweden last year.
