The Aldaia municipality in the Valencian Community of Spain on Tuesday officially recognized the Armenian Genocide.
It also added the list of dozens of other Spanish cities that already have formally acknowledged and condemned this tragedy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the respective resolution, which was submitted by Ararat Armenian Association of Valencia, was presented to the Aldaia City Council session floor by Left Union Spokesperson Juanjo Llorente.
All four political parties represented in the city council unanimously voted in favor of recognizing this crime perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire as genocide and condemning its denial.
