on 10 August 2010 our human rights colleague Do\u0569\u0084\u056a\u0534an Akhanl\u0569\u0084\u0539\u055e was arrested and charged as he entered Turkey. Since 20 August, he is in solitary confinement in Tekirdag and looks forward to a highly dubious criminal procedure.<\/p>\n
As a writer and human rights advocate Dogan Akhanli worked for the recognition of genocides committed in the 20th Century and against the denial of these crimes. Among many achievements he developed new ways of cross-cultural genocide education.
