{"id":16456,"date":"2015-04-17T16:20:54","date_gmt":"2015-04-17T16:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.aaeurop.com\/?p=16456"},"modified":"2015-04-17T16:20:54","modified_gmt":"2015-04-17T16:20:54","slug":"european-antiracist-movement-worried-about-firing-etyen-mahcupyan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aaeurop.com\/?p=16456","title":{"rendered":"European Antiracist Movement worried about firing Etyen Mahcupyan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>European Grassroots Antiracist Movement (EGAM) is worried about the eviction of the Armenian advisor of the Turkish Prime Minister, following his declarations recognizing Armenian genocide, the organization said in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.egam.eu\/egam-is-worried-about-the-eviction-of-the-armenian-advisor-of-the-turkish-prime-following-his-declarations-recognizing-armenian-genocide\/\" target=\"_blank\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014, Etyen Mahcupyan has been the first Armenian from Turkey to have a high ranked situation in the administration of the Turkish government.Despite the denial of the Turkish administration which talks of\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0a \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056a\u0093sudden retirement\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0539\u009d, it is clearly a firing. The true reason is evident: Mahcupyan does not acknowledge the denial position of the State of Turkey. It is a signal that Turkey\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7s traditional genocide denial stance keeps on working of the 100th\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0anniversary commemorations of the genocide, notably in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>For Benjamin Abtan, the President of the European Grassroots Antiracist Movement EGAM, \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056a\u0093we will not be intimidated by the threats of the Turkish State, and we will commemorate the Armenian genocide in Istanbul the next 24th\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0of April.<\/p>\n<p>EGAM is in charge of the international dimension of the commemorations of the Armenian genocide in Istanbul, and will lead the largest delegation of activists.
