During centuries of colonial expansions and endemic wars, genocide and slavery were the necessary masts of the pirating strategy for land and raw material conquest. All colonial powers were engaged in it. \u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0<\/sup>World opinion, still in its infancy, was no more than a feeble gesture.<\/p>\n The epoch of Imperialism of the 20th<\/sup> century made a World War somehow the \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cprerequisite\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7 for any attempt of implementing the execution of genocide as a \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cfinal solution\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7. World opinion was starting to bite. The UN was founded and \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cman\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7s inhumanity to man\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7 had finally a name\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0080\u009dGenocide<\/i>, and an International Tribunal (Nuremberg) was set to condemn and punish its perpetrators.<\/p>\n But, even after World War Two, another epochal turbulence, the full-fledged Cold War epoch, \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cacted\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7 as a \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cshock absorbent\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7 for horrendous genocides\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0539\u00bb\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0<\/p>\n Towards the end of the 20th<\/sup> century and beginning the 21st<\/sup>, the Cold War finally melted away in the heat of the arrogance of the epoch of Globalisation, while Genocide persists to remain on the threshold of rampant conflicts in all corners of the world.\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0<\/p>\n The new world turbulence is now labelled as the Long War, the latest neo-con synonym for War on Terror.<\/p>\n Wars were\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0not causes\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0but\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0excuses <\/span>for Genocides. <\/b><\/p>\n In the case of the Genocide of the Armenians, the crucial vicious acts were already initiated and were being executed before the\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0Ottoman Turkey’s declaration\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0of War,<\/p>\n on Nov.5th, 1914.<\/p>\n In a nutshell, the Armenian tragedy did not start \u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0because of the WWI\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0 in 1915 — as the Ottoman Young Turk government, then all subsequent Turkish governments were and are still keen to link the\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0 magnum historical criminal act with 1915 WWI,\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0 hence their claim of\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0 the ‘betrayel’ of the Armenians. And even, alas, our In Memoriam April 24 1915<\/b>, took the date of the rounding up of Armenian intellectuals as the ‘starting’ point of our magnum tragedy, thus for sure unwittingly, albeit apparently \u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u056d\u009cyielding\u0569\u00a7\u0549\u0082-\u0549\u0084\u00a7 to the criminal excuse. Many of them served in the volunteer regiments of the Tzar fighting in Western so called Turkish Armenia. The Henchakist stood in opposition to the Ittihadists. That was a mortal sin!\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0<\/p>\n The culminating act of the genocidal scheme was thus set in motion<\/b>; the elderly, the women and the children, nearly the entire Armenian population of Asia Minor was ordered out, southward towards the deserts of Northern Syria.\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0\u0569\u0082\u0539\u00a0 <\/sup><\/p>\n Vandalism, rape, extortion, sadistic torture, starvation, murder raids and all ad infinitum.
