Syria calls on the international community to take the necessary measures to curb the aggressive actions of the Turkish regime and its unlimited support for terrorists in Syria and Libya, SANA reported referring to Syrian MFA.
According to the statement, the Turkish regime continues its aggression against the sovereignty and inviolability of the Syrian territory, pulling a large amount of military force into Idlib and Aleppo, attacking the residential areas and positions of the Syrian military to save the terrorist groups that are defeated under the onslaught of the Syrian army.
Syria reaffirms the decisive rejection of any Turkish presence on its land, which constitutes an encroachment on its sovereignty, a blatant violation of international law, the statements of Astana and the Sochi accords on the Idleb de-escalation zone, the MFA said adding that all this testifies to the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s stubborn reluctance, who continues to act as a ‘regime outside the law,’ to fulfill his obligations.
Syria urges the international community to take the necessary measures to curb the aggressive actions of the Turkish regime and its unlimited support for terrorists in Syria and Libya, the statement concluded.
The MFA statement confirmed that Turkey’s aggression will not lead to the revival of terrorist organizations, and the Syrian army will continue to chase the remaining armed groups until they are completely eliminated and full control over the entire territory of Syria is restored.
